Recently, Pan Jianwei, Zhang Qiang and Chen Tengyun et al. at the University of Science and Technology of China, in cooperation with Wang Xiangbin and Ma Xiongfeng of Tsinghua University, broke through the phase interference technology of long-distance independent lasers and realized twin-field quantum key distribution (TF-QKD) and phase-matching quantum key distribution (PM-QKD) with the practical fibres of over 500 km respectively. The relevant research achievements have been lately published in the international authoritative academic journals Physical Review Letters (selected as “Editors’ Suggestion”) and Nature Photonics respectively.
